Insane inventions

The latest hi-tech inventions that combine the cleverness of Albert Einstein with the madness
of David Icke.

Weather-forecasting toaster
The most insane invention I've come across recently has got to be Toasty, a weather forecasting toaster by Brunel University design student Robin Southgate. It lets you know what the day's weather is going to be like by browning through a stencil of the appropriate weather symbol (cloud, sun, etc) onto your slice of bread. This is done through a built-in modem that dials up a weather website. Very clever but very extravagant... I'll take two...

Life Expectancy Timer
Get constantly reminded that time is ticking away with a timer that counts down to when you're expected to die. What a depressing thought.

Computerised Candy Dispenser
Attach this device to your computer and every time your kids get a question right they're rewarded with candy. An incentive to learn, or spend even more time on their computer? What do you think? Source: abcnews.com

Digital Smart Pan
If cooking an egg wasn't easy enough this invention will make it even easier for the culinary-challenged among us. After simply selecting your food item (PAN for pancakes, B/C for burger and chips...) via the digital display on the handle, a temperature sensor in the Digital Smart Pan senses when it has been cooked to perfection - and incidentally when it's burning to a cinder. Exactly what wealthy students have been waiting for (if they exist).
